Character Description:

Kaitlyn is a small girl for her age, standing only a few inches over 5 feet. Long honey blond hair falls in waves to her mid back when she leaves it down out of its normal tails or braids. Her skin is darkly tanned from being outside, making her unusual eyes stand out even more, for the right eye is blue while the left is green. She is no raving beauty, but her gentle and soft-spoken ways endure her to most all who meet her.
She is dressed today in a medium blue over-dress worn with an aqua shift underneath. The over-dress is decorated with small shells and beads at the neck and hem. She also wears a pair of boots made from soft leather dyed a matching medium blue upon her feet. Her hair is worn back, tied with blue ribbons today.
Upon her shoulder she wears the yellow and white knot of a Probationary Apprentice of the Herder Craft.
 
 

Character Background:

  Kaitlyn is the youngest of five, her parents, Bronen and Geneve, surprised by her late birth you could say.  She has 3 older sisters and an older brother, all doing well for themselves. Her brother, Kendric, is learning to take over the family farm where crops and cattle are raised. One sister was Searched and gained a green lifemate, and flies for Ista Weyr. Still another sister, Bronwyn,  left home to apprentice to the Weaver Hall at Ista where she now is the Weaver Crafthead.  Kaitlyn's parents don't know exactly what to do with her, for they've tried and tried to bring her out of her usual shy and quiet ways.  Always bringing home hurt or stray animals, Kait's days were filled with her animal friends, her parents thought it odd that she spent so much time with the animals.  So, one day, without telling Kaitlyn, they arranged to send her to her sister Bronwyn, hoping that since she had made such a great improvement on the other child they'd sent her, that perhaps she might work her magic on Kaitlyn.  On Kaitlyn's 16 turnday, they announced their plans to send her to her sister at Ista Hold, telling her to figure out what she wanted to do with her life, hoping that perhaps it might break her out of her loneliness and quietness.  But like always, she didn't get upset, only smiled, nodded and packed her things. The next day, she set off with only her ferret and her clothes, headed to Ista Hold, nervous and unsure of herself, thinking about maybe joining the Herder Craft.
  She eventually found her way to the Herder Hall at Ista Hold and gained an interview unknowingly.  She was quite surprised to have a knot put in her hand and herself moved into the dorm!

Eidolon

Not more than two pound and sixteen inches from nose to tail tip, her energy seems to have been endowed four fold. Dark brown eyes shine with health and vigor while her black nose pokes into everywhere and everywhat she can get into. Even for a jill, she is small and petite with svelete lines. Her coat is a dark black klah with a distinct glossy shine and her undercoat is a warm cream to soften the harshenss of her color and endow her with the classic appearance of a ferret. A full mask darkens her face to heighten her appearance of being a bandit.
