Darwin strides with a lazy swagger in from Second Floor.
Darwin takes the stairs two at a time, literally hopping down them with a broad grin on his face, rocking to a halt at the bottom with a hand clutched over his heart. "Whew.. getting too old for that," he states cheerily, the winks at the passing crafters. "You'd think they'd never seen a Master hopping down stairs," he says, tilting his head directly at Solaria.
Solaria is standing outside the library, mouth open to begin yelling at someone. She just stares, then laughs as she sees Darwin coming down the stairs, "And here you had me ready to get on to some apprentice for doing that!"
Darwin laughs and takes a few deep breaths, sweeping his hair out of his bright eyes, before gesturing toward the exit. "I'm just on my way to have a drink at the 'Wings.. care to come?"
Solaria smiles, "I think I could use one myself... settling back in has been... fun?" She glances down at the notebook in her hands and decides to leave it in the classroom. Quickly returning, she sighs, "Ready when you are!"
Darwin quite cavalierly offers his arm as Solaria returns and winks playfully, "After you, m'lady, but of course, you /must/ take my arm. I insist."
Solaria laughs, taking your arm, "Thank you milord. It shall be a pleasure to have you as company tonight!"
The two head towards the 'Wings...
Hold Courtyard
Crom hold's courtyard stretches out, its rooms standing tall against
the mountains behind. Imposing and dark, the previous
inhabitants have mostly never thought much of decoration, but
Crom's newest Lady Holder has taken it to her personal attention
to add joy and color to the rather barren countryside.
A road leads out towards Telgar and the Hold's gather grounds, while little
trails by the hold take twists and turns to a pleasant garden, the stables,
the minercraft hall, and a charming and scenic trail through the valleys
and hills of the Crom Area.
It is a clear, crisp evening Belior is half full and Timor is
slightly more than half dark. It is a spring night.
Perched somewhere up high, you see Taran.
You see Evreth here.
Kryten and Darwin are here.
The following dragons are here: Diamath, Cyvarth, Zafirath, Rosalth,
and Alabeth
From here you can go:

Kryten watches the tail descend and blinks, gazing upwards and then upwarsd some more. "Well that was hardly sporting of you, was it now? Whatever did I do to deserve that?" Watching the other dragons being to interact he inches back in the grass, fearing himself the cause of the agitation. As an afterthought he sniffs under his arm. Nope, still fresh. Couldn't be that.
Rosalth disolves back into a watchful gryphon, her tail-tip animated with annoyance as it rests not far from the bartender.
Darwin glances up at the dragons as he passes through, Solaria on his arm and a rather merry step about him, almost like a boy, he is. "Just a little further and we'll have something to wet our dry tongues."
Alabeth doesn't mind people. If anything, she likes them quite a bit. The new faces, in fact, are getting inspections, her eyes whirling into the cheerful greens, and a light snort descending on the both of them. Well, hello there. Are you the one who's making my lifemate so happy?
Solaria smiles, taking in all the dragons in the courtyard today. "Seems like Crom is the place to be this evening!" Looking closer, she tries to see if she knows any of them here, but finds she doesn't. "Ah... the 'Wings, how I have missed you!" she says with a laugh!
Darwin strides with a lazy swagger into the Hold.
Kryten quickly stands, no longer willing to take his chances with the flicking tail. He covers his fear by moving to quickly greet the humans who enter the courtyard. "Hail and well met! You want the Wings? Let me lead the way. Please."
The two step through the hold and into the 'Wings...

Crom Hall
Marion goggles at Rees, "Flying bovines?" and then at Hine, "Bad luck? WHy?"
Darwin's brows arch up as he steps in, catching Marion's comment. "Flying.. bovines?" he questions, patting Solaria's hand upon his arm, before releasing it and pulling out a chair for her at his usual table. "Sit, sit, sit," he says quickly, gesturing at a barmaid.
Resa giggles nodding at Marion, "Yep... flying bovines."
Marion turns to Darwin, readily explaining herself, "Rees turned to a fish!" how is that explaining? who knows?
Solaria chuckles as she hears the comment, and gladly takes the offered seat, "Thank you Darwin..." Looking around the 'Wings, she smiles, remembering the times you had here. "Shards, it has been too long!"
Lexi stetches her aching muscles, "Yeah, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love working with them critters. Just love it!"
Resa glances over to the newcomers, knowing the gentleman looks familiar... ah! Kayrelen's Master! She gives friendly waves and smiles to both the Master's, blushing at Marion's comment.
Marion looks up at Rees' "She was a fish, and Hine turned her back!" she goggles, watching for signs of fish-face on Rees.
Kryten saunters in from Crom Hall.
Kryten goes home.
Milar chuckles. "I can understand that." she says with a brief nod. "I have my caprines, and that's more than enough for me. They're enough trouble, though. I'll leave the rest of the herd to you folk." She taps lightly against her other blue, Sir's, side. "I wish I could leave these with you as well, sometimes." she adds, jokingly.
Hynavu thinks hard ... and fast. "Ah ... because ..." he trails off to wave to the arrivals. "Evening," he calls softly, getting out the bovine picture again. Frightening piece of work, that.
Marion looks over at Hine, confused. "But /why/?" Oh, the dreaded question!
Resa smiles, knowing that Marion is watching her. She begins to pucker her lips up, just slightly, wondering if Marion will catch it?
Darwin grins at Marion as he settles down into his own seat and plunks his heels up on an empty chair. "Into a .. fish?" he questions, chuckling softly, but indulging the child. "I don't think I've ever turned into one.. is it fun?" he questions of Resa, before nodding at Solaria. "It's quite good to have you back, Master Solaria."
Marion looks at Rees and squeals, crawling up in her lap and poking her face, "Your going to fish again rees!"
Resa busts out laughing as Marion pokes and prods at her face. Turning her head, her hands go to catch the little girls before she pokes an eye or something. "It's ok... you're here to help!"
Kayrelen walks in from Crom Hall.
Lexi giggles a bit and sips at her juice. Her eyes wander around, "It sure is busy here."
Marion giggles, "Okay! No more fish," and goes back to looking at Hine's pictures. "Why is it bad wuck Hine?"
Milar nods in agreement with Lexi. "Very." she says. "I don't usually see it this busy. Then again, I'm rarely in around the evening, usually, I'm more occupied with the apprentices and Journeymen that are about. Tonight, though, I had time all to myself, and decided to use it." Her glass is held aloft to display this, her smile warm as the wine in her belly. "So I'm enjoying it." she finishes.
Solaria begins to chuckles softly at the antics of the young ones at the next table. Resafish? Hmm... "I would think it would be interesting as long as someone didn't catch you on their fishing pole..." Turning back to Darwin she smiles, "It is good to be back, Master Darwin. So many things have changed around the hall in just the Turn that I was gone."{
Marion looks around the hall at the mention of Rees-fish and fishing poles in the same sentence, she says to solaria, "We fixed her!"
Ah ha! For once she doesn't trip, fall, or make a fool out of herself! Go Kayre! Ahem... There Kayrelen slides, eyes golden eyes flicker brightly, falling upon everyone there, "Wow... Master Darwin, what brings you down to the 'wings? I'm being good and doing all my work-" A yawn tugs at her lips and one of the books in her arms falls to the floor making a soft muffled thud.
Lexi nods and sips more of her juice, "Everyone should be allowed to have some fun sometime." She glances around a bit, "But maybe not all the same time at the same place." seh adds with a little giggle.
Solaria ohs? to the small girl, "How? " Head turns as she hears someone come up behind her, then jumps as the book hits the floor.
Marion looks up at SOlaria with wide eyes, "Hine put her out of the water with the moon shinin' and she changed back!" then she giggles at the funny Kayrelen. Hasn't she seen her before?
Milar laughs again, looking about at the different people in here. A lot of them. A very lot of them. "I couldn't agree more." she states with a nod. "Things certainly do get confused when everyone shows up, don't they?"
Resa rolls her eyes to Master Solaria, a simple statement starting all this, really! Next time, she'll remember not to say certain things in front of a 2 turn old! She leans back to whisper in Marion's ear, "That's Kayrelen, she stays in the dorm too..."
Lexi grins a bit and shrugs, "I guess I'm still not used to all the bustle of Hold life. It still has my head spinning everytime I step into a crowded bar like this." She shrugs, "I s'pose I'll eventually get used to it."
The barmaid, very slow on her feet it'd seem, finally comes back with a drink for Darwin and one for Solaria, as the former leans back in his chair, feet up. "Hmm? Wuh? Oh.. drinks! Definitely drinks," he replies cheerily, if a bit distractedly to Kayrelen.
Marion noddles at Rees and like a perfect little lady, she toddles over to Kayrelen, grinning, "Hi Ka'r'ln
Marion grins. "I'm Mawon!"
Solaria smiles to the apprentice, bending down in her chair to pick the book up. "Here ya go.. Kayrelen?" She tries to remember the name, though it doesn't ring a bell right offhand to her.
Milar chuckles. "I think you will. Particularly if you're in a Craft. Have to get used to all the folk bustling about. Although I'll admit, the miners don't usually get so crowded. And I'm asure the Harpers have it worse." She shrugs after a moment.
Marion tries again to get the name right, "Kay'earln?" nope, that's not right either. Oh well, she grabs that person's hand and shakes it, grinning.
Lexi nods and shrugs, "Yeah, but I came from a very small farm to..." she gestures around her at all the bustle, "this! Its amazing how small a place can feel after you leave it."
Kayrelen seems to always gain the attention of those she doesn't want. She was the one that tripped and fell last time Marion saw her, the one who quickly scampered back out because of embarrassment. "Sorry about that..." Is murmured quietly as the apprentice slowly bends down to pick up the book she dropped only to nearly bump heads with Solaria. "I'm so sorry, I fear coordination is not one of my high points. Perhaps I should go find a weaver to make me a bag for all these books. Ah yes, a weaver, perhaps I could join that craft too, then I'll never have any free time." A small smirk curls her pale lips before attention sways from Solaria to the young harper kidlet. "Kayre will do young one. Just Kayre." A blink, surprised blink is given to Marion as her hand gets grabbed and shaked. Eep...
Resa hears Lexi's comment about coming from a small place, and nods her head, for she knows /exactly/ how the girl feels!! She offers Lexi a smile, nodding, "Aye.. exactly!"
Darwin waggles a finger playfully at Kayrelen as he takes a sip at his drink and expounds: "Now, now, young lady, you're the one who chose a second craft," he reminds her, his tone stern, though his blue eyes are dancing with utter amusement at her griping. "Talk to the hold's headwoman and I'm sure she'll have a spare rucksack around for you somewhere, alright?"
Marion grins at Kay, "Kayare!" and giggles...that wasn't quite right either...but then she never gets names right. She looks at the books, and looks up at Kayare, "Are you a harper?" she asks.
Solaria chuckles softly, as she manages to miss colliding heads with the apprentice. eyes bright with merriment, "Two crafts? Impressive!" She turns to Darwin, an eyebrow raised.
Milar nods in agreement, standing up and tapping her forehead to Lexi. "Too true." she says. "However, as much as I've enjoyed talking to you, this wine is really starting to take effect." She finishes her glass off. "I need to get going." she says, indicating the door. "I'm afraid I'm rather tired. But it has been a pleasure talking to you."
Lexi nods vigorously, "You too. Maybe we'll meet up again sometime."
Hynavu glances up as he hears the inflection of parting phrases. "Good evening, Milar," he says softly.
Resa gives the Headwoman a wave, "Good night to you Milar!"
Kayrelen holds back the urge to stick her tongue out at the Master, she really wanted to just for that comment. "I like the work Master Darwin, just wish I could sort it out between the two from time to time." Solaria and Marion both get a small gaze of gold, "Starsmith and Harper Apprentice Kayrelen at your services." A sly smirk filters across her lips, tugging at it gently before she skitters off towards an open table and slides into a the chair that was just /screaming/ for her to sit."
Milar walks deliberately toward Crom Hall.
Marion looks at Kayrelen goggle-eyed as she skitters away...what'd she say? Oh well, "Hine! you got some more pictuwes?" she grins in anticipation of pretty pictures!
Huntress fades back into the shadows, only glimmering eyes telling where she is.
Hynavu peers at Marion. "I've got so many, I have to hire a wagon to cart them around," he told her mock-solemnly.
Solaria laughs, shaking her head as the girl makes her get-away. Picking her glass of wine up, she toast Kayrelen, "Here's to you... may you always have the energy you need to keep going!" thus said, she takes a sip. Ah... this is good! Just what the healer ordered after a long day getting settled back in the Hall.
Darwin wiggles his pinky at Solaria around the edge of his glass as he leans in toward her and grins. "A little extra work never hurt, eh?" he queries, still just as playful as he was before as he watches Kayrelen's departure from the table. "Though of course, I don't load it on..." Of /course/.
Marion gasps at Hine! Wow! "Weeeaally? That a/lot/ of pictuwes!"
Resa grins, holding her arms back out for Marion to sit back in her lap since it was too busy to get the pot they usually use for the little girl to sit on. "Aye, he's got a lot Marion. Hyn is /always/ drawing something!"
Marion looks over at Rees and giggles, crawling up into her lap and looking up at her lovingly before planting a kiss right on her cheek!
Solaria leans in, a smile spreading across her mouth as she nods, "That is true Master Darwin... so very true!"
Resa holds onto the little girl, though her glance darts around the wings, every watchful. Sometimes, she just knows she's tempting fate like this, but what else is she gonna do?
Hynavu has to smile as he watches the little girl. He shoots a reassuring look at Resa. "I think we're safe, for tonight."
Marion looks up at Rees' watchful look, "Whatcha doin Rees?" somehow this intuitive little girl knows that it has something to do with her, and she looks around worriedly, "Someone gonna come and take me 'way from you?"
Darwin taps a finger or two on the table and levels a more direct gaze at Solaria, the cheerfulness still there, but he's serious as well, in one manner, at least. "How /are/ you settling in again, Solaria? Any difficulties I should be aware of?" he questions, turning to talk shop.
Resa glances to Hyn, glad to see she's not the only one being watchful. "I know.. I just... " She shrugs instead of finishing, her gaze going to Marion, "No... never!" Ok, so that's a little white lie... Fararenth, don't kill her now!
Kayrelen holds back a snort a that, "I will always have the energy Master. I am Kayrelen, the girl who spends her day hours doing harper work and chasing around her horrid little trio of firelizards, and during the night hours spends looking at the sky and making maps. I am nothing special, just a tad insane." Okay, so she's a bit more then a tad, but everyone knows that Kayre isn't at all hmm... sane? A drudge is found, the one she always seems to catch, and a mug of tea is ordered as the apprentice starts setting herself up. A book here, a pencil there, ahh, everything she needs to do both star and harper work.
Solaria sits back, head shaking alittle, "No, not really. Just trying to get used to new faces and new titles. There's so many who's gone up in rank since I last saw them. Then there's the few who aren't around anymore, having gone to the weyr's. " She ponders her wine for a moment before taking a sip, then looking back up, "Just getting used to it all again..."
Lexi has disconnected.
Marion seems satisfied with Rees's answer and snuggles up close.
Resa wraps her arms around the girl, resting her chin ontop of Marion's head. "Getting tired?" she asks. Can she hope?
Marion shakes her head and grins, "Can I have a sweetwoll Rees?" Uh-Oh, these are beginning to get addictive!
Resa smiles, then looks down at Marion, "Weeellll.. it's gonna cost you. Whatcha got to pay me with?"
Marion looks up at Rees, a little worried, and looks down...Oh! And she pulls off her sock pushing it into Rees's hand and smiling!
Resa blinks, looking at the sock in her hand before starting to giggle, "Well, I guess this will do, though I was looking for something a little sweeter than a stinkie sock!" She snags a passing drudge and orders a couple of sweetrolls.
Marion looks up at Resa and looks at her fingers. She picks them up offering them to Rees...well, she thinks they are sweet! Resa grins and holds Marion's hands to her mouth, nibbling on the palms, "Ok, that'll do for now!" Chuckling, she glances up in time to see the drudge return with the sweetrolls, "Here we go!"
Solaria watches the harper girl and child together over the rim of her wineglass, a shadow of a smile playing at her mouth. Her thoughts wander, thinking about certain things..
Marion giggles at Resa! "Oooh! That tickles!" and she gets a sweetroll, taking a bite and looks around, wondering when the flitters are going to start begging...
Eirekki looks up innocently from his perch. Beg? No, he never begs ... he's a fierce hunter and ... drool.
Resa sneaks a glance just in time to see Eirekki start to drool. Yep, here comes the flits again!
Marion looks up at Eirekki, grinning! Oh, he's gonna have to come closer! She can't throw it...Rees said no.
Eirekki wiggles from nose-tip out to wings to tail, getting ready to stalk the wild sweetroll.
Marion grins. Oh what a funny flitter!
The bronze pounces onto the table again, tail waving like a banner. Slinking low, he advances, while Hynavu calmly goes back to the flying bovines.
Resa laughs, rolling her eyes once more as it seems Marion has the flits eating out of the palm of her hand... quite literally!
Marion grins at the bronze, and holds out the sweetroll...yes! Come a little closer and she'll scritch your itches!
Solaria lets her gaze find the Master StarSmith, noting how even he's changed in the last turn. Why does it feel as if everyone changed but her??
Eirekki continues to belly-slink until he's staring Marion eye to eye ... or more like eyes to hand and, more importantly, sweetroll. He chitters hopefully.
Marion grins and gives the flitter the sweetroll, scritching him on the neck, then.
Resa sits back, finishingher meatroll and watches Marion with the flits, somehow amazed at how well she does with them.
Eirekki tears a big chunk out of the meatroll and tries to croon happily at the scritching with his mouth full. Crumbs dribble from his mouth. Oops?
Marion giggles, "Oh silly! You're making a mess!" she says looking at the table, but continuing the scritching of Eirekki.
Eirekki looks proper repentant, and will clean up the crumbs later. Will that do?
Marion giggles at Eirekki...he'll /lick/ them up later, no doubt! But that's okay.
Resa plays with Marion's hair a little as she eats, waiting for her to finish before they leave the 'Wings.
Marion suddenly looks up at Rees, "Can we go pway in de water?" she asks hopefully.
Resa grins, nodding to Marion, "Aye, bath time it is!"
Hynavu chuckles softly. "Don't you mean splash everything in sight time?"
Solaria sighs, finishing her wine. With a smile, she glances towards Darwin, "It has been a long day today and I'm beginning to hear my bed call my name. Care to walk this poor girl back to the Hall?"
Resa laughs, nodding, "That too! We can hope the baths are completely free at this time!"
Marion grins, "We gonna pway in de waterrrr!" there goes her famous singing again!
Hynavu shakes his head. "Shall I wish you two ladies good luck?"
Darwin tils his head distractedly at Solaria and rises from his seat, dropping a mark onto the table for the barmaid to pick up. "Certainly..."
tilts Resa blinks, wincing just a little as Marion hits a particular note. "Aye... we'll need it!"
Marion grins at Hine, "You gonna come Hine?"
Solaria smiles, taking Darwin's arm again, lets him lead her back out
to the Hall. She wishes the others a good night before
she leaves.
